The brothers who were born deaf decided to take their lives when they realised they will never have to see each other again, as doctors had told them they will go blind.
ABC News reports that they were put to death by lethal injection at the University of Brussels Hospital.

It has been reported that more than 1,000 people have legally availed themselves of doctor-assisted death; most of them terminally ill patients.
