WAS IT NECESSARY FOR OUR LEADERS TO FLY TO GHANA FOR THE INAUGURATION? FOOD FOR THOUGHT.

A lot of papers in Nigeria today showed the picture of a serving Governor with the newly sworn in President of Ghana in his mind he must have been thinking "I have arrived, make una see me with Ghana President!" well sorry to burst your bubble Governor you goofed!

Nigerians are dying in droves from hunger, lack of medical care and opportunities yet the monies available go into selected pockets.

Just about a few days ago President Goodluck Jonathan attended the swearing in of the new president John Dramani  Mahama of Ghana. My questions is are; was it really neccessary for the President to be physically present? Could President Jonathan not send a congratualatory message to him? Could a phone call not have sufficed?

I'm surprised at the flambouyant lifestyle being showcased by our leaders! One quick thought that came to my mind immediately, was that i could not recall seeing the Ghanaian President in Nigeria when Goodluck was sworn in as President? One paper headline said " GOODLUCK STORMS GHANA WITH PDP GOVERNORS". I wonder how many private jets were used to fly these people to Ghana and back and how much was spent for hotel accomodations. I also wonder at the monies spent in entertainment  and how many families would have happily used the money to pay school fees, house rent and other sundries in Nigeria.

Fellow Nigerians, let us open our eyes and begin to see the reason why we cannot sell our votes any more. We need an internal revolution within us before the change can be seen on the outsisde.
