Channel reporter Joe Ighili is dead. Ighile only just returned from South Africa where he had been covering the on-going 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Report says he was on set when he excused himself and stepped out briefly where he collapsed and died.
Aged 48 years, the late Ighile was a graduate of the then Bendel State University, now Edo State University, Ekpoma, where he studied English and Literature.
Joe’s infectious smile, his dedication to work, solid human relations and a positive disposition to life will remain indelible in our hearts and minds.
Burial arrangements will be announced by his family.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
