Breaking News - Al-Mustapha Freed Read The Dirty Details Here!!!

The Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos has discharged and acquitted Al-Mustapha for the murder of Kudirat Abiola, wife of M.K.O Abiola. She remains one of the revered icons of Nigeria's struggle to force the Military out of power. The judgement overrules the Lagos High Court's judgement which sentenced him to death by hanging. The presiding judge accused the lower court of being stroked to secure a conviction by all means. Al-Mustapha and Alhaji Lateef Shofolahan had been sentenced to death by Justice Mojisola Dada on 30th January for the conspiracy and murder of Kudirat Abiola on 4 June, 1996 and has been remanded in prison since then. Continue to see how it all happened:
Alhaja Kudirat Abiola was killed on the street of Lagos by gun men sent by Al-Mustapha while he was the CSO to Abacha. Alhaji Shofolahan, a homer personal assistannt to Kudirat provided surveillance assistance to the killer squad as they trailed the outspoken wife of Chief Abiola until her murder.

In August 2012 Mustapha read out in court an incriminating written confession he had given to the Special Investigations Panel (SIP) in Abuja on October 13 1999, after the statement was admitted in evidence. In it he admitted responsibility for supplying the guns used and then tried to distract the court by indicting Chief Bola Ige who was assassinated in 2001 as complicit in Abiola's murder of 1998 and that Ex-President Abdusalam Abubakar withdrew huge sums of money from the Central bank to buy the silence of Yoruba figures in the matter.

Al-Mustapha was responsible for the darkest and the most blood thirsty eras in Nigeria's history. Coordinating efforts to kill top Nigerians like Pa Alfred Rewane, Kudirat Abiola and Alex Ibru who escaped but was in hospital for a long time receiving surgeries and treatments for gun shot wounds sustained. Today Mustapha walks away a free man? Details of judgement are forthcoming check back.
