Shakira Births a Boy!

Colombian singer Shakira has given birth to her first child - a boy - in a Barcelona hospital on Tuesday, her family have confirmed.
The pop star gave birth at 9.36pm local time to a boy weighing almost 3 kilograms and both the mother and child are "in perfect health," a statement stated.
Shakira, 35, was admitted to the private Teknon clinic at 6.30pm accompanied by her boyfriend, FC Barcelona soccer star Gerard Pique, 25.
In the statement, the couple and the family said "We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Pique Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Pique ... The name Milan, means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification."
A statement posted on the Shakira's website in English, Spanish and Catalan says that "just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth."

On Tuesday morning, before the birth, Shakira had tweeted, "I'd like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life."
The baby was delivered by previously-scheduled Caesarean by a medical team headed by Dr Carlota Garcia-Valdecasa.
