Justus Esiri Is Dead!

These are tough times for the Nigerian Entertainment Industry; legendary actor Justus Esiri has died.
The Member of the Order of the Niger (MON), famous for his role as the Village Headmaster in popular 80's sitcom of the same name, passed on Monday night after a short battle with an age related diabetes. He was 71.
Esiri who has featured in several Nollywood movies, hails from Delta State. Few Months ago he was introduced by a singer-songwriter of  Mavin records Dr SID as his father, his real name being  Onoriode Esiri. Dr Sid, put up a photograph of his father as his Twitter avatar and updated his bio as RIP dad. Before his death, he was a member of the order of the Niger (MON). Last year Nollywood lost over 4 well known actors among whom were Pete Eneh, Enebeli Elebuwa, Sam Loco etc.
I will particularly remember him for the superb delivery of his lines as well as his fluent English that was just so pleasing to the ears. RIP Bro.
