The paramount king of the ancient town of Ado-odo in Ogun State, Oba Lateef Adeniran Akanni, the Olofin Adimula of Ado-odo, in Ado-odo-Ota Local Government in Ogun state was mercilessly beaten, stripped naked and his palace razed by some angry members of his community.
According to an eye-witness who pleaded anonymity the Oba allegedly slapped a member of the community during a heated argument, of which the action of the Oba sparked up an anger by some youths withing the community. The angered youth pounced on the king, beat him mercilessly, wounded and stripped him naked before thousands of passersby. The palace was also reportedly burnt. In case you are from Ado-Odo, dem don beat shege comot for your Oba head. It should be recalled that this Oba was not the popular choice of the people.
