Sex addiction took hold of her life. Seyi started having sex at the age of 17 when she became dependent on it. By the age of 19 she had, had 40 partners. Today the number is an astounding 370 men! (that means ashewo dem own go reach like 2000 men oh choi!) Her dangerous addiction led her to a life of destruction, catching sexually transmitted diseases, being evicted from home and having two terminations.
By the age of 30 Seyi had hit rock bottom and needed help. Today after attending numerous sex addiction meetings and 12 step programmes she has been celibate for four years and is now helping people like her beat the addiction. She explained that sex addiction is often associated with men but that is not the case, women suffer it too. It is a craving and a fear of how she'd feel if she didn't get it and once she did, it was like a heavy burden had been lifted off her shoulder. Sex addiction makes you selfish, self destruct, depressed and leaves no room for escape.
She says: " I lost my virginity when I was 13 with my first boyfriend, I was shocked (why? You knack nah shuo!) when I got pregnant. I gave birth when I was 14. It was a very difficult time, social services arranged a nanny to look after my daughter, Sarah, from six weeks old. Being a mum scarred my childhood and I moved out when I was 16 with Sarah and moved into a mother and baby unit. I felt terribly lonely, I craved attention, I was miserable".
Moving into a housing association home at 17, Seyi met then boyfriend, Paul 31, it was now that she began to use sex to replace her feelings of loneliness. She adds that "when I started having sex with my boyfriend I thought that was the answer and would stop me feeling so lonely but it wasn't enough". She cheated on Paul with strangers she met every week! Se continues, " I needed sex and afterwards it was a relief. When I couldn't have sex my confidence will plummet. I felt ugly and went into a spiral of upset and frustration, feeling unworthy and needing another fix as soon as possible. Seyi fell pregnant with son Andrew at 17. She told paul the child was his but she had some reservations. She said after the birth of the boy she decided to stay with Paul but she wanted sex 4 to 5 times a day but the attention wasn't enough. When the pent up sexual frustrations became too much she would go out and cheat on Paul 3 times in six months and fell pregnant again.
Devastated and unable to take care of another child again she then decided to terminate it.
One of the major reason why she did so was because she did not know who the father of the child is but they split up when she was 19. The break up made her go over the top to overcome her hurt, she then had 5 guys she could meet up for sex any time. Between the age of 22-30, she says her life was a blur. She would sleep with 5 to six men and meet up with strangers for sex. At 26 she fell pregnant again which she terminated, got drunk and had sex the same day after the procedure. She took lots of sick days off her job as a Management consultant and even slept with a colleague at work. At 29 she lost her home and had to send her kids off to live with family.
Seyi went for an addiction meeting after watching a documentary called - The secret about the laws of attraction-At the meeting she met other people like her who had the same craving for sex. She said she didn't stop immediately but gradually and since 2009 now she has been celibate! ( Long sigh)

Women love sex too and if you can take care of yourself(use a condom) there is nothing wrong with having fun.
