The Punch Newspapers is reporting that Mavin artist, Tiwa Savage had been arrested by the Police. Tiwa was flagged down for flouting traffic regulations and instead of stopping as she was asked to do she drove off only for the Police man to drive after her. She then stopped on Adetokunbo Ademola near Eko hotels and confronted the Police officer removed the cap on his head and created quite a scene. She was whisked away to Victoria Island Police division for humiliating and assaulting a Police officer.
A police man at the station interviewed by Punch said;
"Tiwa refused to stop at a traffic light around Adetokumbo Ademola near Eko Hotel and Suites. When we attempted to accost her, she refused to park her car as instructed by the Policeman. Since there was a traffic snarl at the time a Policeman followed her and insisted she must stop. After a while she stopped and started raining abuses on all of us so we took her to the station".
She was however advised by a policeman on duty to apologize since they were eye witnesses who could testify against her. She apologized and was allowed to leave. Her record label has however not made any statement.
